Grounds for Health offers unpaid internships at its project sites in Mexico, Nicaragua and Tanzania. The internships are available to individuals with strong academic backgrounds. Because of the scope of responsibilities associated with these internships, an interest in international public health with a specific focus on women’s health and/or community organizing and development is essential. Interns will work at one of our established program sites in Mexico, Nicaragua or Tanzania. Interns should be able to work independently and be knowledgeable about the major issues in the field of international health and development. We prefer candidates with prior international experience. Prior experience in popular education, project management and primary health care delivery desired. Superior organizational skills and conversational fluency in Spanish or Kiswahili is required.
Availability
Opportunities for internships are available year-round and can be developed for a 6 to 12 month period.
Compensation
